“Nitish to haar rahain hai is baar” said my co-passenger sitting in the seat next to me. Is he talking to me? I gave him a confused look, and then he said it again – “Nitish ji to haar rahain hain” with a confident look. I realized he was commenting on the front page of a local magazine, I was reading. The magazine had Nitish on its front page, with title, “Change of era in Bihar” or something like that. I gave him a curious look and he tried to explain me why he thinks so. Look, the way Nitish government has done the recruitment of illiterates (?) as primary school teachers, the way he reopened Bhagalpur riot case, and got only Hindus arrested, we won’t leave him. Wow, he seems to be a political expert... before I could say, the gentleman sitting in the corner confronted him, how can you bring religion in that. Those who were culprits got arrested. … Well now who is he? Before I could make any guess, he himself came to rescue; I am ex-student leader of Tilka Manjhi bhagalpur university. “I am a supporter of Lalu Yadav”, he continued, but still I am not against Nitish govt in this case. I closed my magazine, after all who wants to read a magazine when you have live Lok Sabha going on in your compartment. It was indeed a Lok Sabha session going on, with heated exchange of arguments and counter arguments going on. Suddenly they moved from State politics to central politics. So what? Let me think… Dude don’t think but act. I don’t want to spend entire three day long weekend in Office… Ok, how about Venice… Not a bad idea… Let’s book tickets… No, we are going by car… Car? ?? Car... Yes Car… Hell no, it will be hectic... Are you in senses…? It will be fun filled with adventure… Adventure? Are you going to do bungee jumping while driving.. STFU…#%@$.

Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and whosoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.
Holy Quran 5:32 I wonder, if this Ayaah of Quraan shareef, was missed by those terrorists who find their inspirations from religon, or is that they failed to comprehend the meaning of this great Ayaah! In either case, this loss of data, in comprehension is posing a serious threat to humanity, and bringing a bad name to the religion itself. Comments (3)

The news at Rediff about Naga Naresh Karutura, an IITian from Chennai, is seriously touchy and emotional to the core. Rediff says, Naresh is special. I will say he is more than special for me. Who found his way, against all odds, and made each one of us proud. Such news really inspires me, motivates me, whenever I am down, and help me gain strength back. I feel like saluting this master. May Allah, give all the due success to you in your life. Amen. Be first to comment this article

The programme at IBN LIVE , made me nostalgiac, and I decided to dedicate few moments to one of the greatest voice Indian Radio ever had, Mr Ameen Sayani. How many of us, can afford to forget the legendary voice of Cibaaca geetmaala fame. "Jee haaanm to is hafte kaa gaana number ek hai..." Interview excerpts "...When I was about seven, he started taking me to All India Radio and started introducing me to English broadcasting. So from the age of seven till 16, I was an English broadcaster. I hadn’t studied Hindi or Urdu extensively..." suggest what a talent this man had. Even the advertisers of today, tries to immitate him, by one way or another. I wish, I could again tune in back to those days to listen pathaan kot se Goldi, Jhumri tellaiya se pappu :) Comments (1)
